The ILM level 5 Certificate training with Intuition provided me with a great basis for my coaching practice: not only as an introduction to the essential models, tools, and techniques, but also covered important related matters such as ethics, boundaries, contracting, and working with organisations, which will stand me in good stead as I take my new business forwards.
The classroom days were challenging, thought-provoking, and a safe environment in which to practise my learning. I deliberately chose a course that involved face-to-face contact and group learning, rather than purely distance learning, as this works well for me. The co-coaching sessions on Skype were extremely worthwhile for giving me some much-needed practice, and have given me the confidence to go on to attend local events with experienced coaches, knowing that my skills and knowledge are solid and based on best practice. The course materials were very comprehensive and provided a good source of reference for the course and assessment.
Mike Hurley was a patient and extremely knowledgeable and professional tutor, who supported me at all times on my learning journey in the classroom. Michelle Kelly was great as my coach-mentor, being very supportive and encouraging, particularly at those times when I was lacking in confidence in my competence.
