Developing your courage-building skills so you can coach with courage and clarity
Have you heard about the work of Brené Brown and her transformational Dare to Lead Programme?
Back in 2019 Melissa Hague travelled to Texas to train with Brené Brown to become a Certified Facilitator for her Dare to Lead Programme.
Melissa now delivers this programme aimed specifically at coaches, with all the fundamentals of the Dare to Lead programme, viewed through a coaching lens.
She shares the power of her learning with you her fellow coaches, who are looking to develop courage-building skills in themselves and to support their clients to do the same.
The programme covers the four courage-building skillsets of:
- Rumbling with Vulnerability
Facing risk, uncertainty and emotional exposure with courage and clarity. - Living into our values
Identifying, operationalising and practicing the beliefs that we hold most important. - BRAVING Trust
Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust. - Learning to Rise
Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.
Programme objectives
- Recognise vulnerability as the emotion we feel during times of uncertainty risk and emotional exposure
- Explain why courage requires vulnerability
- Recognise the critical role that self-awareness plays in daring leadership and daring coaching
- Give examples to support how armour – not fear – is the greatest obstacle to being brave
- Identify the four skillsets that make up courage
- Apply those four skillsets to your work as a coach
- Recognise that vulnerability is the birthplace of courage
